How does FROSTSKIN work?+
A thermoelectric cooling chip lowers the circulating-water temperature. A micro pump moves the water through the garment's back circuit, while a fan carries heat away from the cooling unit.
What does 12°C / 22°F mean?+
It is the measured difference between ambient temperature and circulating-water temperature in prototype testing: 40°C / 104°F ambient and 28°C / 82°F water. It is not a claim about core body temperature.
How long does the system run?+
The standard Xiaomi power bank provides approximately 1 hour of system runtime. Upgrade to UGREEN for +$10 for approximately 2 hours. Actual runtime varies with operating conditions. Spare Xiaomi and UGREEN batteries are available separately for $49 and $59 respectively.
What is included with a cooling system?+
Your selected FROSTSKIN garment, one portable cooling unit with USB-C (Type-C) power input and one Xiaomi power bank by default. Choose UGREEN (+$10) to replace the included Xiaomi bank, not to add a second battery. The dual-garment system includes both garment styles with one cooling unit and one selected bank.
How do I start and stop the system?+
The unit has no on/off switch. Connect a compatible power source to the cooling unit's USB-C (Type-C) port. Circulation starts automatically. Disconnect the power source to stop.
How do I wash the garment?+
Hand wash only. Disconnect the cooling unit and power bank first. Leave the sewn-in water tubing in the garment; do not remove or pull it. Keep all electronic hardware dry and air-dry the garment fully before reconnecting.
